SCHOLARSHIP FAQ

How Can I Apply for the ProEthic Building Brighter Futures (BBF) Scholarship?

  • Applicants wishing to apply for the BBF scholarship will need to submit a one page essay – no more than 500 words. This will be submitted directly on the ProEthic website, under the “Scholarship” tab. Additionally, applicants are required to send a copy of their high school transcripts, as well as two letters of recommendation to Salma Dutta at: 3923 S McClintock Dr Suite 400, Tempe, AZ 85282.

Who Is Eligible for the BBF Scholarship?

  • Any senior high school student in the greater Phoenix Valley that is seeking to enter university, or to enroll in secondary education for the 2023/2024 academic year may apply for this scholarship. Additionally, gifted underage students who may be under 17-18 years of age but are on track to graduate in June of 2023 may also apply.

When Does the Scholarship Open and Close?

Please also note that ALL application materials must be submitted by the deadline - this includes transcripts and letters of recommendation sent by postal mail. With this in mind, please make sure to allow ample time unexpected delays in mail delivery.

Who Can Be Used For Letters of Recommendation?

  • Who the students choose to petition letters of recommendation from is their choice, so long as it is not a.) an immediate family member or b.) a friend/peer. Ideally, the student would select a teacher, coach or other mentor-type figure to accurately highlight the qualities that make this individual a competitive applicant for this scholarship.

How Will the Money Be Disbursed and How Can It Be Used?

  • Upon selection of the scholarship recipient, the ProEthic accounting team will work with the student to transfer the funds directly into the student’s university account balance. Please note that these funds can only be used for school related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, housing, meal plans, etc.

When Will Applicants Be Notified?

  • After reviewing all applications, 3 semi finalists will be invited via email to attend a round-robin interview at ProEthic Inc. on April 28th, 2023 (details to be provided in future email).

  • During this interview, the panel of ProEthic employees will seek to further understand the character and goals of each student with regard to their academic and career aspirations. While the interview will be conversational in nature, we strongly encourage students to arrive in professional business attire (slacks, collared shirt, etc.).

  • After all three applicants have completed their interviews, the panel will review and select the final scholarship recipient. The announcement will be made one May 1st, 2023.

  • On Friday, May 5th, 2023, the scholarship recipient will be invited to return once more to ProEthic to take photos, receive their award and be recognized for their achievement.
